1. The Service
DukaanSethu ("the Service") is a software-as-a-service product operated by Aware Consultants ("we", "us", "Company"). The Service provides Indian small businesses with a WhatsApp Business catalog, a public storefront URL, a printable QR poster, and related tools, on a monthly subscription basis.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. You must be an authorized representative of the business you list. You must have a valid Indian WhatsApp Business number and a valid UPI ID.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the activity in your account, including catalog content, prices, product descriptions, and messages sent through your storefront. You agree to keep your WhatsApp number, UPI ID, and contact information current.
4. Subscription tiers and pricing
Current tiers (all amounts in INR, all-inclusive of 18% GST):

Prices may change. We will provide 30 days' notice via WhatsApp and email before any price increase takes effect on an existing customer.
5. Payment
There is no setup fee. Subscriptions are prepaid: you pay for a 30-day period by making a direct UPI transfer to the account shown in WhatsApp, then confirm it in the chat. We verify the payment before the period is extended.
We do not use auto-debit, e-mandates or UPI Autopay. Nothing is ever taken from your account automatically — every payment is one you initiate yourself. If you stop paying, the service simply lapses after a short grace period.
You can stop at any time by simply not paying for the next period, or by telling us — see Section 8.
6. Add-ons
Optional features (extra language, custom domain, festival catalog drop, WhatsApp broadcast credits, Khatabook/Vyapar sync, additional staff seats, extra shop locations, photo upgrade pack) are billed separately. Pricing is published on our home page and may be updated; you'll always see the current price before purchasing an add-on.
7. The Pinky Promise refund
Full refund terms, including what counts as an "order" and how refunds are processed, are on our Refund Policy page.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time by:
- Sending "CANCEL" to our support WhatsApp number
- Emailing support@dukaansethu.com
- Simply not paying for the next 30-day period
Cancellation is effective at the end of the current prepaid 30-day period. Your WhatsApp catalog remains in your Meta Business account after cancellation — we just stop maintaining and updating them.
9. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use DukaanSethu to:
- Sell anything illegal under Indian law (controlled substances, counterfeit goods, prohibited firearms, etc.)
- Send spam, scam messages, or unauthorized commercial bulk messaging to customers
- Misrepresent the business you operate
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property
- Violate Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform policies, which can result in account suspension by Meta (separate from our terms)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with refund of unused subscription portions.
10. Customer's responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of your catalog
- Honoring orders received through DukaanSethu
- Compliance with consumer protection laws applicable to your business
- Any tax obligations on your sales (DukaanSethu does not collect, hold, or remit money on your behalf — your customers pay your UPI directly)
11. Our liability
We provide DukaanSethu "as is". Within the limits permitted by Indian law:
- We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, but we work to minimize downtime
- We don't guarantee a specific number of customers, orders, or revenue
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service, your catalog content, or your violation of these terms. We agree to indemnify you against claims arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct in providing the Service.
13. Service availability and modifications
We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for changes that materially reduce functionality. Beta or experimental features are clearly labeled and may be discontinued without notice.
14. Intellectual property
You own your content (catalog items, photos, business info). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service.
We own DukaanSethu's software, branding, and documentation. The "Powered by DukaanSethu" link in your storefront footer may be removed on the Pro tier or by separate written agreement.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by emailing legal@dukaansethu.com.
16. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control: acts of God, natural disasters, government action, internet/network outages, third-party platform outages (Meta, NPCI, UPI rails), pandemics, war, riot, etc.
17. Changes to these terms
Material changes will be notified at least 30 days before they take effect, via WhatsApp and email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept, you can cancel under Section 8 and we'll refund any prepaid amount for unused periods.
